Speech Language Pathology
Speech and Language Pathology is the study of human communication disorders. The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) assess, diagnose and treat children and adults with a wide range of communication disorders and swallowing difficulties, both developmental and acquired. The profession welcomes people from a wide range of backgrounds, but students must have excellent communication skills and an interest in applying scientific principles to the management of communication disorders.

The BS Speech Language Pathology Program offered at the faculty of allied health sciences, University Of Lahore, leads to a professional qualification as a speech and language pathologist. On this course students will develop strong practical skills alongside a sound understanding of the theory of speech and language therapy. A wide range of teaching and assessment methods is used and theoretical knowledge is integrated and applied through regular placements. Clinical work is underpinned by modules in developmental pediatrics, Speech disorders, Language disorders, Voice and Fluency disorders, clinical and professional knowledge Evidence based practice and research methods.
